What a lovely day I had while in Florida visiting my sister, Meredith. One of my dearest friends from college who I met our first day at Washington University in St. Louis—"several" years ago is Gary Hochberg–(he is 6 foot 6)–and one of the greatest people I know. He and his wonderful parter, Lee Sharp who is a true delight and also a wonderful friend– came over to visit Meredith and I for the day and the time flew— as we caught up and reminisced.
Gary used to be the master chef on our dorm floor and on Sunday nights, he would cook an elaborate meal for all of us and that is when he was only 18!!!
Gary and Lee both had wonderful businesses–Gary as the owner of a talent agency and Lee as an executive in the corporate world from Insurance to IBM.
They now enjoy a wonderful life in Naples, Florida and again are truly terrific people and great friends.
Exactly four years ago, I was in Florida for the holiday break visiting my dear Mom and Gary and Lee came over to have dinner. As they dropped us off, my Mom said: " You are both terrific-please come up and visit me anytime." They certainly planned to and as many know, exactly two weeks later, My dear Mom, Molly passed. Gary and Lee came up and helped us with everything and it is truly something I will always remember and be grateful for.
Here they are at Meredith's beautiful apartment with the bay in the background.
We all had the best day!!
