I asked one of my friends and a fellow Chamber of Commerce Ambassador her latest success story when she is networking and building her business. Here is what my guest Susan Zacharias of Meadowbrook Insurance has to say:
“During a happy hour networking event I walked by a lady and complemented her on her dress. It led to a conversation and while she was holding her drink and appetizer, she had a hard time handing me her business card that was held together by a paper clip. I ended up having coffee with her a week after the event and surprised her with a nice business card holder that matches her business card color. She was “wowed” by my attention to detail. I am working with her on several different business opportunities.
Lesson learned—“Be the solution and pay close attention to detail when you are networking”.
Another good reason to utilize the “Information Bank” of all you learn about someone as you are building the relationship.
