A young girl was getting ready to attend college and her father advised her that she would be embarking on many adventures and would be meeting and dating alot of people. He told her to go to the kitchen a read what it said on the mayonnaise jar and to take that advice. She pulled the jar-and there on the back it said: "Keep cool, but don’t freeze"! I loved this because it does apply to so many things in life–before a meeting, a presentation or giving a speech and of course–relationships!!
Last night at the synogogue as we were welcoming in the new year, there was another amazing passage that struck me. The essence was that as we hope to be inscribed in the book of life for one more year, it said: "may we add years to our life and may we also add life to our years." How true—seize and appreciate every day. Live each day, no matter what!
