"Thank you again for this presentation. I signed up some time ago and, honestly, almost skipped today’s session because of a bunch of competing obligations. But I am so glad that I attended! The workshop was called “networking,” but it could have been called “life” or “friendship” or “how to be a mensch.” I had no idea what I was in for when I arrived this morning. You could be a cognitive behavior therapist, as well as executive coach, networking strategist, career counselor, campaign manager, divorce mediator, or fulfill a host of other callings. Sure, as you point out, we all know ninety percent of what you told us, but there is something almost magical about your persona . Many adjectives come to mind—respectful, open-minded, encouraging, warm, thoughtful, intelligent, generous, and motivating—to name a few. And there is something magical about the content of your presentation. It’s simple, but not too basic. I loved the words of wisdom from your father. I loved that networking is, for you, not focused exclusively how one promotes one’s self or one’s business; you encourage people to think about others as well.
Again, thank you. You are a breath of fresh air.
